A Ponderance

To all of you that have read this blog before, you know how much I love to watch television shows that get me thinking, and Fringe has definitely done it. It's kind of an old show, syndicated by FOX Network, but produced by the King of Science Fiction-J.J. Abhrams, whose genius is not lost on this show. It follows FBI Agents Olivia Dunham, who stumbles onto a new kind of science while investigating the crashing of an airplane, which leads her to a scientist named Walter Bishop, put into a mental institution because one of his experiments lead to the death of a young girl. His song, Peter is the only person who can understand what Walter is thinking, and with the help of a young agent named Astrid, the group works together trying to work on a series of events known only as "The Pattern". Walter was a specialist in fringe science before he was institutionalized, which was 17 years prior, causing him to miss most of Peter's life, which ultimately leads to some friction between the relationship that the two of them have. It's one of the only shows that makes it impossible for me to detect whose behind everything from watching the first couple minutes of the show, and the writers do such a fantastic job with the twists that they throw at the viewers.
If I had to rate it, I would definitely give it a 4.5 out of 5, simply because the way that the characters are developed, plus the way that some of the story arcs are put into the show, some are never resolved, and some are over too quickly.

If you've read this blog before, you would also know my feelings about the Twilight Saga, and how much it pisses me off. I have to say that Christina Perry has written a beautiful song to be the theme of the fourth movie. If you haven't seen the commercials, then you've probably never heard the song before, but then again, you're probably also living under a rock, and have thusly never heard of Twilight. For all of you who HAVE seen the commercial for the fourth movie, you've heard a snippet of the new song, entitled "For A Thousand Years" and it's actually amazing. I've had it on repeat for the past few hours because it's so enchanting. It's like that song that helps you get to sleep, but you don't want to while listening to it because it's so beautiful. I'm not really even a huge fan of hers, but this song is pure gold.

So, that's really the only song I have for you right now, but I hope that you all like it.

deuces.
